About the Client & Project

The client is building an AI-powered customs compliance platform to simplify global trade for brokers, businesses, and logistics providers. They are in MVP build phase and seek an experienced full-stack developer to help shape a scalable, compliant, and user-friendly product.

Role Overview

The client seeks a Contract Full-Stack Developer to accelerate MVP delivery across both frontend and backend. The role involves building responsive interfaces, integrating Python-based services and APIs, ensuring reliable data flow and error handling, and contributing to user-centric, AI-enhanced features. This is a highly collaborative role focused on clean code, scalable architecture, and meaningful problem-solving in a regulated domain.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on full-stack development of the MVP, from UI through API and data layers.
• Build scalable, responsive UIs using modern frameworks (with emphasis on Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS).
• Develop and integrate backend services and RESTful APIs in Python.
• Ensure robust data flows, observability, and error handling across the stack.
• Contribute to user-centric design and usability improvements in partnership with design/PM.
• Implement compliant, secure, and AI-enhanced features aligned with product goals.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement practices.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of professional (or equivalent) full-stack experience.
• Strong proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Alpine.js, React, Vue, or Angular) and CSS utilities (e.g., Tailwind CSS).
• Solid Python experience building backend services and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with databases and cloud deployments.
• A strong eye for UI/UX and building elegant, user-friendly products.
• Genuine interest in AI, automation, and shipping tools that make a real impact.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and effective in remote, collaborative environments.

Nice to Have

• Domain exposure in trade, logistics, or compliance platforms.
• Experience with data engineering, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, testing strategies, and performance tuning.
