• Work Model: Hybrid (1-2 days a week in Brussels)

Contract Details:

• Rate: €350-400 per day
• Experience Level Required: 2-4 years
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Duration: Until December 2024 with possible extensions

Role Description:

The client is seeking three COBOL Testers/Test Analysts to join their team in Brussels. The ideal candidates will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our client's software solutions. This role involves comprehensive testing, including but not limited to designing test plans, executing tests, analyzing results, and identifying areas for improvement in software applications developed using COBOL.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement test plans to address business and technical use cases.
• Engage in both manual and automated testing activities to ensure high-quality software performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify system requirements, plan for testing, and resolve any issues found during the testing phase.
• Document and evaluate test results, track and manage defects, and work within the team to resolve issues and optimize performance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices and processes.

Qualifications:

• Essential: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in software testing, specifically with COBOL applications.
• Proven ability to design and execute effective test strategies and plans.
• Familiarity with both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of working collaboratively with developers and other stakeholders.
• Legal Requirements: Must have a Belgian ID card (EU Citizen) or be a Belgian National.
