Mid Level Software Engineer (Remote - Anywhere)

The client seeks a Software Engineer to join their Product team and contribute to the ongoing evolution of their Payments Request Platform. This platform enables large, global merchants to process payments efficiently when customers are not physically present. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and well-tested solutions.

This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer with full-stack development experience who thrives in a dynamic scale-up environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Customers, Product Management, Design, and Engineering teams to understand customer needs and deliver well-tested, customer-centric solutions.
• Deliver iterative and incremental improvements to the platform, contributing to all stages of the software delivery process, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to architectural improvements to ensure scalability and reliability as the platform grows. The platform leverages AWS Cloud Services.
• Support the client’s Continuous Delivery initiatives by integrating security and quality into the software delivery process.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, ideally within a SaaS environment.
• Proficiency in full-stack development, including Java, Angular (TypeScript), MySQL, and Spring Boot.
• A customer-first mindset, with a motivation to help customers achieve success through innovative and reliable software solutions.
• A collaborative approach to working within cross-functional teams, recognizing that close teamwork leads to better outcomes.
• Familiarity with Lean/Agile, DevSecOps, or Continuous Delivery practices that emphasize small, incremental, and high-quality releases.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS Cloud Services.
• Knowledge of Docker Containers and CI/CD pipelines.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere. While the client is headquartered in Dublin, team members can work from anywhere. Occasional in-person meetings may be required for planning sessions, and the team gathers once or twice a year for social events.
