The Opportunity:

The client is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Software Developer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge flight simulator add-ons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on various projects, including:

• Developing simple plugins for interactive on-screen menus, such as a cabin configuration plugin for the Lineage 1000.
• Assisting in converting the existing EFB from the E-Jets to the ERJs.
• Further developing aircraft systems, including Autopilot (LNAV) and Avionics.

Initially, the position is project-based, with potential for a more permanent role based on mutual satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming, primarily using procedural methods.
• Mandatory experience with the X-Plane SDK.
• Familiarity with X-Plane flight simulator.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Lua scripting.
• Familiarity with Planemaker, the aircraft creation tool for X-Plane.
• Past experience in autopilot customisation within X-Plane.
• Experience with the Cairo graphics library.
