Backend Developer (Node.js) - Mid to Senior Level

Location: Remote (Anywhere) | Client is  Based in Dublin

Project length: 6 months- possibly to extend to a year

Job Description:
The client is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join an exciting AdTech project. This role is ideal for a mid to senior-level developer with a strong background in Node.js, ExpressJS, and familiarity with Typescript. The project also involves integration with a React frontend framework, specifically NextJS, making experience in this area highly desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·       You will be part of a small team and work closely with your colleagues in Western Europe

·       Develop features of the platform for which you are responsible

·       Partner with product managers to identify actionable opportunities and design solutions that positively impact the customer experience

·       Participate as a stakeholder in planning sprints, managing priorities, and in the day-to-day processes of your team

Required Qualifications

·       8+ years of web development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled candidates)

·       4+ years of professional experience with Node.js

·       4+ years of professional experience in front-end web development

·       4+ experience with SQL (relational) databases

·       Strong proficiency with JavaScript

·       Skilled at microservices and backend APIs for high traffic, modular web applications

·       Reach across teams to help accomplish cross-cutting goals and clear blockers

·       Analytical & Logical thinking

·       Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

·       Experience with ORM frameworks such as Sequelize or TypeORM

·       Experience with other web technologies as Ruby on Rails or Django

·       Knowledge of Big Data and platforms such as Hadoop and Spark

·       Experience with OLAP databases as Snowflake or Clickhouse

Interview Process:
The client is looking to conduct interviews early next week, on Monday and Tuesday. Up to six candidates will be interviewed, so prompt availability is required.
