Overview:

The client, a dynamic agency based in London, is seeking a Senior WordPress Developer to join their team. This role is instrumental in managing and enhancing client relationships via the client's marketing department through technical expertise and proactive engagement. The Senior WordPress Developer will be responsible for a range of duties, from server setup and hosting solutions to direct client interaction and mentorship of junior WordPress developers.

Responsibilities:

• Server and Hosting Management: Setup, manage, and optimize hosting solutions and servers, with a focus on WordPress as a Service (WaaS) platforms to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Client Interaction: Act as the primary technical point of contact for day-to-day client needs, offering timely and effective solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
• Project Leadership: Guide and mentor junior WordPress developers within the team, promoting best practices and encouraging professional growth.
• WordPress Development: Lead the development of WordPress sites, ensuring best practices are followed, and the sites are optimized for performance and security.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Quickly identify and address any issues or challenges that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to client services.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Extensive experience in WordPress development, including themes and plugins, with a strong understanding of hosting solutions and server setup specific to WordPress.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies. Experience with WordPress as a Service (WaaS) platforms is highly desirable.
• Communication: Excellent spoken English with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Leadership: Proven experience guiding and mentoring junior developers, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
• Proactivity: Demonstrated ability to be proactive, taking initiative to foresee and address client needs and technical challenges promptly.
