Backend Developer (ASP.NET Core, C#) – Remote (Anywhere)

The client seeks a Backend Developer to join their team and contribute to building and maintaining robust backend services within a modern, cloud-based environment. This is a full-time remote role open to candidates based anywhere.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services built with ASP.NET Core (C#).
• Work across three backend service components:
• 
  
  • Authentication (Identity Server 4)
  • Frontend API
  • Backend API
• Implement and optimize Mediator pattern for in-process messaging.
• Ensure seamless integration with a MySQL-compatible AWS Aurora database.
• Contribute to a containerized environment using Docker for deployment and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, efficient, and high-quality backend solutions.

Requirements

• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core (C#).
• Knowledge of authentication systems, ideally Identity Server 4.
• Experience designing and developing APIs (RESTful or equivalent).
• Familiarity with MySQL-compatible databases and cloud-hosted databases, preferably AWS Aurora.
• Hands-on experience working in containerized environments (Docker).
• Understanding of messaging patterns such as Mediator.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first team.

Start Date & Duration

• Start date: 1st September (interviews taking place this week).
• Initial duration: 2 months minimum, with a strong likelihood of extension into a long-term role.
