Umbraco Developer (Contract)

Location: Remote (work from anywhere)

Contract Length: 3 months

Commitment: Full-time

About the Role:

The client seeks an experienced Umbraco Developer to support a digital delivery project over a three-month period. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience building and maintaining CMS-based solutions in Umbraco, with an eye for clean, scalable code and best practices in content architecture and delivery.

The role involves working with a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and product managers to deliver a high-quality user experience for a content-driven digital platform. You’ll be responsible for both backend development and seamless integration with front-end components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web solutions using Umbraco CMS (v8 or later)
• Customize and extend Umbraco functionality via C#, Razor, and APIs
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration
• Implement content models and structures aligned with client requirements
• Optimize site performance and manage deployment processes
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies as part of a distributed team

Qualifications:

• Proven experience delivering projects in Umbraco (preferably v10+)
• Strong .NET/C# development background
• Familiarity with MVC, Razor syntax, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including integration)
• Comfortable working in a fully remote, agile environment
• Strong communication and time-management skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tooling
• Familiarity with content migration strategies and SEO best practices
• Previous agency or multi-client project experience

Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible

Duration: 3 months, with potential for extension depending on project scope
