Part-Time Magento Developer (Remote – Anywhere)

The client seeks an experienced Magento Developer for an urgent, part-time project focused on delivering a Magento theme update ahead of a firm pre-Christmas deadline. The role requires deep expertise in Magento’s codebase, theme templates, and strong JavaScript skills, as the platform’s frontend is heavily reliant on it.

Background from the Client:

“I need some help with a Magento theme update project that we’re working on which we need to complete before Christmas. The developer that we’ve got working on it is struggling with it and won’t have it finished in time to meet our client’s deadline – so I was hoping you might have someone that can take a look at what we need doing and see if it’s something that they can turn around quickly for us?”

This is a hands-on, high-impact role requiring someone who can assess the current state of the work, identify blockers, and rapidly contribute to getting the project across the line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quickly assess and understand the current Magento theme update implementation

• Work with the client to identify the fastest path to completion

• Optimize and complete frontend components, especially those built with JavaScript

• Customize and refine Magento theme templates

• Work independently and collaborate remotely with the client’s technical team

Essential Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Magento 2 development

• High proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Magento frontend theming

• Strong understanding of Magento’s architecture and customization practices

• Able to step into an in-progress project and deliver rapid improvements

Project Details:

• Start Date: Immediate / Before Christmas

• Engagement: Part-time contract

• Duration: Short-term (project-based), with possible follow-up work
