Full-stack Developer (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) – Remote (Anywhere)

The client is a fast-growing scale-up at the forefront of AI-driven cancer diagnostics. Their advanced software helps medical professionals analyze pathology images with greater efficiency and accuracy, already achieving clinical deployment in the U.S. They address a critical healthcare challenge: increasing diagnostic demand with a limited pool of expert pathologists.

The client seeks a Full-stack Developer to join their development team, working closely with machine learning engineers and product designers. This role offers an even split between backend and frontend work, contributing directly to products that make a global impact in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend APIs to efficiently serve AI models.
• Build and optimize user interfaces for large-scale visualizations (e.g., millions of cell predictions).
• Implement UI features based on direct feedback from medical professionals.
• Automate data annotation processes and improve pipeline efficiency.
• Collaborate across teams for seamless product integration.
• Make strategic technology choices for scalability and performance.
• Translate mockups into polished, production-ready UI/UX features.
• Manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate Profile

Education

• MSc in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

• Proven track record of delivering production-ready, user-facing features.
• Experience working on products with measurable impact.

Skills

• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with React (advantageous).
• Experience with Linux and Docker (a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Curiosity about lab technologies such as whole-slide scanners.

Languages

• Fluent English (German a plus).
