Job Description: CMDB Architect

Location: Remote within Europe (EU state), with on-site meetings in Luxembourg as required
Employment Type: Remote with occasional on-site requirements
Compensation: €400 - €450 per day

The Client Seeks:

A seasoned CMDB (Configuration Management Database) Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of the CMDB environment for a project based in Luxembourg. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the CMDB effectively supports IT service management processes. The ideal candidate will be based anywhere within Europe but must be willing to attend on-site meetings in Luxembourg as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a robust CMDB strategy that aligns with ITIL frameworks and the client's IT service management goals.
• Ensure the CMDB accurately reflects the IT infrastructure and is integrated with other IT management tools.
• Lead the identification, documentation, and management of all configuration items (CIs).
• Develop and maintain processes for managing and updating the CMDB, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure the CMDB supports operational and strategic decision-making.
• Facilitate training and workshops for IT staff on CMDB processes and best practices.
• Attend on-site meetings in Luxembourg as required to ensure alignment with project goals and stakeholder needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 5-8 years of relevant experience as a CMDB Architect or in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing CMDB in large organizations.
• Skills: In-depth knowledge of CMDB design principles, ITIL frameworks, and IT service management. Proficiency in CMDB tools and technologies.
• Location: Based anywhere in Europe but must be able to work remotely from an EU state and travel to Luxembourg for on-site meetings as necessary.
• Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
