Senior Go Engineer

The client seeks a Senior Go Engineer to join their fully remote team, working on cutting-edge authentication technologies in a fast-growing and innovative startup environment. This role offers the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges and make a significant impact on the client’s high-traffic systems.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership of developing and scaling the client’s high-traffic APIs and designing performant background workers for queue processing. This role is primarily focused on Golang development and emphasizes building secure, scalable, and reliable systems for authentication-related products.

The role involves working in a product-oriented environment, meaning you will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to design and deliver innovative features that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable APIs and background processing systems using Golang.

• Build highly performant, secure, and reliable systems to support authentication features.

• Contribute to product innovation by implementing creative solutions to technical challenges.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers.

• Ensure systems can handle high levels of traffic and operate effectively in a cloud-based infrastructure.

You excel in dynamic, startup environments and take a product-focused approach to software engineering. You thrive in designing and building secure, scalable systems and are passionate about authentication and cryptography.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience in developing highly scalable and reliable systems.

• Strong proficiency in Golang, with experience in other backend programming languages being considered.

• Experience with cloud-based platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Solid background in authentication systems, including knowledge of cryptographic technologies.

• Passion for creating secure and efficient systems.

• Prior authentication experience is a must-have.

Compensation

• Competitive starting salary of up to €80,000, with flexibility for a B2B or Employer of Record (EoR) contract based on preference.
