WordPress Developer Needed for 1-Year Support Contract

Project: Church Army Website Maintenance and Development

Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to provide support for the Church Army website on a 1-year contract. The role involves ongoing maintenance and occasional development tasks to ensure the website remains secure, functional, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities

a) Website Maintenance (One dedicated day per month):

• Backend Maintenance: Ensure the website’s structure enhances performance and reliability.

• Plugin Updates: Keep all plugins up-to-date to maintain compatibility and security.

• Security Patches: Apply updates to protect against vulnerabilities.

• Software Updates: Ensure compatibility with the latest WordPress technologies and features.

• Performance Monitoring: Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain optimal performance.

b) Website Development (As required):

• Design Updates: Modernize layouts and ensure the website remains visually appealing.

• User Experience Optimization: Enhance responsiveness and accessibility across devices.

• Custom Feature Development: Implement new features and refine existing functionalities based on Church Army’s requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with WordPress development and maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of plugin and theme customization.

• Familiarity with performance optimization and responsive design.

• Experience with security best practices and updates.

• Ability to handle custom development requests efficiently.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 1 year

• Schedule: 1 day per month for maintenance, with flexibility for additional development work as needed.

• Work Environment: Fully remote.
