Lead Full-Stack Laravel Developer with GIS knowledge

Role Overview:
The client seeks a Senior Full-Stack Developer with GIS experience (eg working with ArcGIS) to take over and advance the development of their farm management system. This role involves improving existing features, integrating new functionalities, and ensuring seamless GIS capabilities within the application. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in front and back-end development and be proficient in handling GIS-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take over developing an existing farm management system from the current outsourced team.
•  Enhance and optimise the application, focusing on improving user experience and overall performance.
•  Develop new features based on client requirements, particularly focusing on GIS functionalities.
•  Ensure the seamless integration of GPS-tagging and geospatial analytics within the system.
•  Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to align development efforts with business goals.
•  Maintain and update technical documentation to facilitate a smooth transition and ongoing development.
•  Provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed during the handover and beyond.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Laravel Developer with a strong portfolio.
• Experience with Vue.js or similar frameworks.
• Experience with GIS tools and libraries (e.g., ArcGIS, Mapbox, Leaflet).
• Strong understanding of geospatial data management and analysis.
• Familiarity with GPS tagging and integration within web applications.
•  Experience in improving UX/UI design and implementing user feedback.
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with agricultural or environmental management applications.
• Background in data science or advanced geospatial analytics.
• Knowledge of satellite imagery processing and analysis.
• Experience with remote team collaboration tools such as Teamwork.
