WordPress Developer – QA & Bug Fixing

Overview:

The client seeks an experienced WordPress Developer to support QA and debugging efforts following the launch of a new website. This short-term contract involves identifying and fixing console errors and proactively surfacing any additional technical or functional issues. The role is ideal for a developer with strong debugging skills and hands-on WordPress expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Audit the live WordPress site for JavaScript console errors and resolve them efficiently.
• Review front-end performance, browser compatibility, and user experience for any issues.
• Diagnose and fix bugs across custom themes or plugins, ensuring the site functions as intended.
• Use browser developer tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools) for diagnostics and QA.
• Provide feedback and potential recommendations for improving overall site stability and performance.
• Collaborate with the client’s internal team to verify fixes and track progress.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Solid experience developing and debugging WordPress websites.
• Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with browser debugging tools and performance auditing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working on production WordPress sites post-launch is a plus.

Start Date & Duration:

• Immediate start preferred.
• Short-term contract with the possibility of further collaboration.
