Backend Developer (Node.js / ExpressJS / TypeScript) - AdTech Project

The client seeks an experienced Backend Developer (mid to senior level) to join their remote team working on an exciting AdTech project for a company based in Dublin. The role involves developing and optimizing the backend architecture using Node.js and ExpressJS, with a focus on scalability, performance, and best practices.

The ideal candidate should be skilled in Node.js (ExpressJS), familiar with TypeScript, and comfortable working in a React front-end framework using NextJS. A solid understanding of key backend concepts such as threads, event loops, non-blocking I/O, and clustering is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and ExpressJS
• Collaborate with front-end developers working on NextJS to ensure seamless integration
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with a focus on performance
• Troubleshoot and optimize backend services, addressing bottlenecks
• Implement best practices for security, data management, and error handling
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in AdTech and backend development

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Backend Developer with Node.js and ExpressJS
• Solid understanding of TypeScript and familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React/NextJS
• Strong grasp of backend concepts including threads, event loops, non-blocking I/O, and clustering
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in AdTech or related industries
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed systems
• Understanding of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL
