Role Overview: The client seeks a Senior WordPress Engineer to take a leadership role in the development and execution of WordPress projects. This position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in WordPress engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of both front-end and back-end development. The role is remote, allowing candidates to be based anywhere in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and development of enterprise-level projects for the NHS and other public sectors, ensuring web accessibility standards are met.
  • Collaborate with clients, providing critical feedback and expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Blend expertise in PHP and modern JavaScript to create robust, accessible websites and applications.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a WordPress engineering role, with a proven track record of developing projects from the ground up.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP and modern JavaScript in a WordPress context.
  • Previous experience in a senior position and working in the public sector is highly favourable.

  • Develop and support the planning of projects, features, functionality, and logic for enterprise-level projects.
