Optimizely .NET Developer (Mid-Level)

As a dynamic and collaborative environment committed to helping brands thrive in the digital landscape, the client is seeking a Mid-Level Optimizely .NET Developer to join their Engineering team. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-level solutions across diverse industries.

Role Overview

The role involves the development, support, and maintenance of technology solutions built with Optimizely and .NET. As part of the Optimizely Engineering team, the developer will take on both hands-on implementation and technical ownership of project elements. Working closely with QA, PMs, DevOps, and broader digital teams, the developer will help deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Optimizely CMS (v11 & 12), .NET Core / .NET Framework, and C#12.
• Deliver high-quality code within deadlines, adhering to best practices for unit testing, version control, and deployment.
• Collaborate across teams (QA, BA, PM, DevOps) to ensure consistent, agile-aligned delivery.
• Contribute to the technical planning and scoping of projects, including effort estimation and technical risk identification.
• Ensure clear technical documentation and support the continuous improvement of delivery practices.
• Advocate for excellence in Optimizely and .NET development standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong experience in Optimizely CMS development (v11 and v12).
• Proficient in:

  • .NET Framework 4.5+, .NET Core 6+
  • C#12, ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor Pages
  • JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SASS
  • Git and modern source control practices
• Strong understanding of coding patterns and architectural principles.
• Effective communicator, comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Desirable Qualifications

• Optimizely Content Cloud Certified Developer
• Microsoft Azure certifications
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Cloud Services
• Familiarity with:

  • SQL Server / Azure SQL (Entity Framework Core)
  • Blazor WebAssembly

Ideal Background

• Experience building large-scale Optimizely CMS DXP solutions.
• Proven track record in bespoke .NET Core web application development.
• Background in full SDLC environments, ideally Agile/Scrum.
• Experience working on multiple concurrent projects, preferably in a digital agency or consultancy context.
