Experienced Flutter Developer for Social Media App Project

Location: Remote from anywhere (Working hours: 9 am - 5 pm UK time)
Type: Full-time, 1-2 Month Contract

About the Role:
The client is seeking a skilled Flutter Developer to support the development of a new social media app that allows users to buy and sell digital video content. This project requires a developer with a strong understanding of mobile app development, particularly with experience in UI/UX refinement and dynamic social media features. Candidates with experience in NestJS or TypeScript are encouraged to apply, as familiarity with these technologies is beneficial.

Tech Stack:
 • Backend/API: NestJS
• Mobile App: Flutter

Responsibilities:
 • Implement features from a comprehensive backlog with a focus on UI/UX enhancement, ensuring consistency and a high-quality user experience.
• Complete partially developed functions such as the private inbox and video orientation.
 • Develop and refine advanced social media functionalities, including:
 • Disappearing messages and Safe Mode
 • Gifting, haptics, and micro animations
 • Live streaming, video feed, and media integration
 • Customizable user profiles and dynamic interactive elements

Key Features on the Backlog:
 1. Messaging & Social Interactions:
 • Private inbox and disappearing messages
 • Tappable tags and related content linking
 • Double tap to like and other interactive gestures

 2. UI/UX Refinement:
 • Font sizing consistency, animation integration, and swipe gestures
• Visual elements such as a premium animation for “following” and welcome wizard
 • Haptic feedback and iOS haptics

 3. Video Feed Enhancements:
 • Improved casting, feed switching, and video orientation
 • Address device performance for video editing

 4. User Profile & Navigation Improvements:
 • Support multiple profiles and profile switching
 • Creator badge integration and content sharing optimization

Qualifications:

 • Proven experience in Flutter mobile app development, preferably with experience in high-performance or social media apps.
 • Proficient in UI/UX design for mobile applications, with attention to detail.
 • Knowledge of backend integration and TypeScript is an advantage.
 • Familiarity with live-streaming functionality and optimization for media-rich applications.
