Senior PHP Developer

The client seeks a talented and motivated Senior PHP Engineer to join their engineering team. This remote position involves developing and maintaining customer maintenance systems and building pipelines to integrate those systems with finance, Salesforce, and sales platforms. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that provide secure access to platform data and services. Key Responsibilities

Design, Development, and Deployment:

• Develop and maintain robust integration systems using modern technologies.

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines, leveraging GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.

System Integration:

• Integrate customer data with internal and third-party APIs.

• Ensure seamless functionality of new features with existing systems and services.

Code Quality and Best Practices:

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to industry standards.

• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.

• Maintain thorough technical documentation for knowledge sharing.

Testing and Debugging:

• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability and performance.

• Identify and resolve bugs and performance issues in a timely manner.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Key Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in PHP (7.x or 8.x) and experience with an MVC framework (e.g., CakePHP, Symfony, or Laravel).

• Strong experience in RESTful API development and integration.

• Familiarity with SQL databases.

• Proficient in Git for version control and experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or equivalent.

• Knowledge of automated testing practices and experience with tools like PHPUnit.

Bonus Skills:

• Interest in or willingness to learn JavaScript, TypeScript, or AWS tools as part of the role.

Soft Skills:
