Freelance Full-Stack WordPress Developer (Remote – Anywhere)

Location: Remote – anywhere

The client seeks a freelance Full-Stack Web Developer to provide short-term cover while a team member is on leave. This remote role will run from 11 March to 7 April 2026, with potential onboarding required shortly before and wrap-up just after.

The developer will work within the client’s team to maintain and enhance WordPress-based platforms, supporting both in-progress and upcoming web projects. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced contractor who can quickly embed themselves in a team and provide reliable, autonomous support across front-end and back-end tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update WordPress CMS installations, including custom themes and plug-ins

• Provide technical support and enhancements across the full stack

• Ensure high performance and availability of web applications

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on feature improvements and bug fixes

• Follow existing development and deployment workflows

• Contribute to quality assurance, code reviews, and documentation where needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Web Developer, with strong knowledge of WordPress CMS

• Comfortable maintaining and customizing WordPress plug-ins and themes

• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Back-end experience with PHP and MySQL

• Able to work independently, communicate clearly, and manage time effectively

• Familiarity with staging environments, version control (e.g., Git), and debugging tools

• Availability for onboarding before 11 March and some flexibility during the wrap-up phase

Working Hours

The weekly workload is expected to fall between 20 and 37.5 hours, depending on project demand. Final schedule to be confirmed closer to the start date.
